REEF Conservation Partner

REEF conservation partner 2021 sticker

We are excited to be a conservation partner with REEF.org this year

Since 1993 REEF.org (Reef Environmental Education Foundation) has engaged with volunteer SCUBA divers and snorkelers to collect and report data on marine fish, sea turtles, invertebrates and algae species.  This effective and powerful citizen science program has generated the worlds largest database on marine fishes. Scientists and resource managers use the data to better understand and protect ecosystems worldwide.

How can you help?

We will be offering fish watching and fish surveys on our private charter SCUBA and Snorkel tours. This will include complimentary use of our fish identification and logging cards with underwater paper (yes there is such a thing!)

If you would like to find out more about these exclusive tours head over to our Fish Watching page.

Along with helping to count fish we will also be running our popular lionfish hunting trips to help reduce their number this year. Lionfish hunting is only open to SCUBA divers a s we are currently only finding lionfish on the deeper sections of the reef in over 50 feet of water.
