Go where you want to on the Key Largo reef!  You can choose from any of our regular sites for your first SCUBA dive.  The Captain will suggest a choice for you second dive.

If you have another part of the reef you would like to go to let us know when you make your reservation.

We stop at 2 dive sites for 1hr each. Small groups mean you can quickly get into the water and dive. Our aim is to keep you away from crowds of other divers on all but the most popular sites.

The tours start at $599 for up to 10 people for a morning or afternoon tour.

If you want to dive on consecutive days please let us know. Multi day diving means we can build you a dive plan for the days you are with us and where you would like to go taking in the weather and water conditions in consideration so you get the best Key Largo has to offer.

Private SCUBA Diving Tour Options

Want to make a positive environmental impact whilst you are SCUBA Diving?

Island Ventures offers more services than most of the other Key Largo dive shops and are happy to arrange some or all of the following SCUBA related activities

Invasive Species removal

Lionfish are an invasive species on the Key Largo reef. They are consuming a lot of the small fish on the reef and need to be removed. Using the approved Lionfish Hunting equipment we will show you how to lionfish hunt and take you to a spot where we know they will be. If you are successful in your hunting there are many restaurants in key Largo that will be happy to cook your catch or we can give you advice on how to prepare them yourself. See our Lionfish page for more details

Debris Clean ups

Ocean Garbage is a major problem across all oceans and we have our fair share of Ocean Garbage in Key Largo. Being a Blue Star operator and part of the Goal Clean Seas initiatives we have the relevant permits that enable us to pick up trash and remove it from the sea floor. Help us clean up some of the trash whilst you are with us! See our dive against debris page for more details.

Coral Restoration

Spend the morning with Coral Restoration Foundation (CRF) learning about the amazing work they are doing restoring the Key Largo reefs and in the afternoon we will take you to the coral nursery when you can see this amazing work underway. The Nursery is a one acre site with over 500 specially constructed coral growing trees! See our CRF Public Dive Program page for more details.

Fish Counting

Understanding how many species of fish are in a particular reef is an invaluable piece of data in the conservation activity. Learn about fish types and how to identify them with a free Fish ID class. Once you have got the hank of identifying fish we are off to the reef to identify and record the spices and numbers of fish on our special underwater paper, yes its a real thing! This data can then be input into the Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) database.

Tour times

Private SCUBA diving tours leave the dock at 8AM or 1PM and return before noon and 4.30pm respectively. Please arrive at the dock 30 mins prior to departure so you get time to get any rental gear you need or setup and check your own gear prior to departure.

If you would like to have different timings please call us!

All day Private Scuba Diving charters

Whole day charters are available at twice the half day rate. Online booking is available by booking two half day charters. We can return to the dock at lunch time if you like to use one of the nearby restaurants or you can stay out on the reef for lunch. Bring whatever you want to eat and drink for lunch. The only stipulation is we can not let customers drink alcohol and then get in the water. Once you have finished in the water you are good to go!

This is a great option for the photographers in your group, its when the best light is at midday when you will be on the reef.

Thats also when the reef is almost empty as all dive boats have gone back to shore to prepare for the afternoon trip.
