Our Amazing Island Ventures team
You can expect a very friendly welcome from your first contact the Island Ventures team.
We are a small but very capable team at Island Ventures. High levels of Customer Service are built into everything that we do. We promise to take the best care of you whilst you are with us!
Here are the Island Ventures team members you can expect to meet.
Michael
Originally from the UK Michael has been SCUBA diving since 1993 where he learnt to dive in a cold inland lake in Germany. His diving certification was issued by the British Sub Aqua Club.
Gaining his BSAC Advanced (Dive Master) in 1994. In 2000 he was certified Sub Aqua Diving Supervisor (SADS) a role specific to adventure training with the British Military.
Crossing over to PADI Dive Master in Egypt in 2010 and PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor in Florida in 2015.
He holds a USCG Masters licence.
Michael has a background in running large commercial IT operations with a high level of customer service where the customer is always the focus. He moved to Key Largo in 2016 and lives locally in South Port Largo with his wife Lissa.
Lissa
Originally from South Wales Lissa has a background in Administration and runs the Island Ventures office.
Lissa will often be the first person that you talk to if you call us to make an inquiry or booking. She is the main person that collects payment and also pays the team!
Unfortunately Lissa gets seasick easily so you will probably not see her on the boats but she will meet you on the dock to make sure everything is ok before you get on the boats!
Wolfman
Captain Wolfman – You will find the Wolfman driving our boats but beware of the full moon!
Carrie
Captain Carrie – Dive guide, Captain and shark whisperer!
Ed
Captain Ed Carboni has been in the diving/boating industry for over twenty years. In that time, he has logged thousands of dives around the world and has commanded a variety of maritime equipment. He has circumnavigated the globe by square rigged tall ship and is the author of four books.
Marcy
A Keys resident for over 30 years Marcy retired in 2013 after 25 years in Miami as an air traffic controller.
You will find Marcy, a Dive Master, helping you with all things Snorkel and SCUBA on the dock and on the boat making sure you have the best of times.
Ron
Captain Ron got certified in a murky golf course pond in Nebraska and quickly fell in love with the underwater world. Ron became an instructor in 2014 teaching volunteer firefighters in Nebraska as well as working at a shop in Colorado. which allowed him to do a lot of dive travel.
In 2018 he decided to live the dive dream and move to Key Largo!
Ron is our principle PADI instructor so if you want to learn new skills while you are in Key Largo have a chat with Ron and he will be pleased to help out!
