Take the next step
towards becoming a
better diver! As a
rescue diver, you
begin to look beyond
your own well-being
and begin to focus
on the safety of
others.
In the rescue
diver course, you
develop skills based
on your size and
strength which can
be adapted in a
variety of
environments. Learn
to “think on your
feet” about the best
approach to an
emergency and to act
on a plan based on
your assessment of
the situation.
The PADI Rescue
Diver course goals
are to:
- Increase
awareness of
diver safety.
- Develop
divers’
abilities to
anticipate and
prevent problems
as well as to
manage them.
- Teach
effective rescue
techniques and
first aid skills
specific to
diving.
- Prepare
divers to manage
diver emergency
situations.
- Expand diver
knowledge in
preparation for
PADI
leadership-level
training.
To qualify for
PADI Rescue Diver
training, an
individual must be
12 years of age or
older. |
